Back to work

Today I am headed back to Tampa today after spending almost a week in Naples for my sister Kendra's wedding. She looked beautiful in her dress and the day went perfect. We all had a ball. I also hung out with some old friends and saw "Anything Goes" at the NDT. I knew almost everyone in the show so I laughed way to much. Great show and I met some new faces so I enjoyed the evening very much. I am looking forward to getting back for "Dames at Sea" so I can hang out with my old buddies from the NDT. Well I had better get on the road...see you in Tampa!

First Day of Blogging

I am blogging look at me! Ok enough of that. I thought this would be fun so here goes. As of right now I am at a temp job writing my first blog when I should be working. Hey isn't that what temping is about? Working a little...then playing online a little... working a little...then wrestling frisky monkeys. So every Thursday I am taking private tap dancing lessons with this very sweet girl Susie. She has taught me well. I learned wings lastnight in about 10 minutes. I still need to make more noise but hey I learned. I can now do about 10 different steps. Some good some not so good. I am learning tap for my next role as Mona Kent in "Dames at Sea" at the Naples Dinner Theatre. I have always wanted to tap in a show....a dream of mine...and now I get to open the show all by myself singing and tapping. See dreams do come true at any age. Make sure you check back during rehearsal periods to see how I am doing...that should be around the first of April. This is the last day of this temp job thank god as I hate driving downtown in rush hour traffic. Is rush hour one word or two? I think two. I will be leaving for Naples Sunday for my sister Kendra's wedding on Tuesday the 22nd. Fun Fun!!! I love parties. I am also working on a new monologue for an upcoming audition in Orlando. My one main fault in my acting (ok im sure there are more but this is the main one) career is auditioning. I have to learn to like it...I am not saying love it just like it and to not let my nerves get in the way. So the more I go the better. Practice Practie Practice I am learning is the best way to get over my fears. Preperation...it really does work! Its a struggle to make myself do it but I have to if I want to keep working as a proffesional actor. If you want more info check me out at www.debiguthery.com
